Launched in 2021, the tool proactively identifies plan members who are most at risk of developing a mental health issue and recommends a self-assessment. A Coach then works with Clients to build a personalized action plan. Clients receive regular check-ins and coaching on their progress. If needed, the Coach can recommend other care providers and specialists. Data collected from our 2021-2022 pilot indicates that the tool has encouraged participants to take action and improve their mental well-being.  Results show that using the tool has:

  • reduced the number of claims transitioned to long-term disability,
  • decreased short-term disability leave for a mental disorder and
  • improved Clients’ general anxiety, sleep disorder and depression symptoms.
